Here are 2 front views this time. Many differences can be spotted with the original 504: plastic bumpers, smaller headlights, teinted glasses, plastic rear mirror, lateral protections, etc... |

The nice 504 of Mauro, a true fan of the 504! If you need any proof for this assessment, just visit his own web site dedicated to the 504 : http://504.8m.com (spanish only). His 504 is a Ti from 1979, in a very nice shape!! |
And here is the nice 504 of Javier, who lives in Buenos Aeres. Notice the over-protective front bumpers, the specific alloy wheels, and the blue "fur" on the seats... |
My friend Tangi, another french 504 addict, found those two recent sedans in two different colors. It was for sale on an argentinian website. Anyone interested? |

During a 1 week stay in Haiti, I only found one 504... but it was a Dangel (4WD)! OK, it was not really in perfect shape, but still, I had found a 504 down there too!! |
Donald Cott from the Dominican Republic owns a very nice Station Wagon, on which he did quite some work, as he explains : "It's a 1977 504 Station wagon (french version) with the original motor wich is a 1,800cc GL, single carburetor. The car has electric windows, tinted rear glass, 3 rows of seats, air conditioned (installed here), tachimeter, automatic transmission. About the transmission I've changed it about 4 years ago, because of a problem with the case, so I bought a less faster transmission but more powerful so I can go with my boat anywhere without forcing the engine. I made a complete body work with the paint about 4 months ago. This car belonged to my father who bought it new, about 4 years ago I bought from him and since then we go together to every place in this island. I tried to buy a new Peugeot 405 (no comment...), but I found that they present different problems and my car doesn't give me any, so I decided not to buy it and keep my "old buddy" with me!". Next step will be a complete overhaul, so we can be sure that this 504 will run for a long time!! |
Valparaiso, Chile, October 2001: 2 beautiful 504 looking like sisters are creating the atmosphere in this part of the town, and Tangi had the feeling to catch this sedans nap in south america. |
Here is a photo from a real 504 fan in Quebec, Jacques Fournier. I believe there aren't that many 504 fans over there, helas! This one is dated 1976, and has 80000 miles, with automatic transmission, electrical windows, sun roof... It has been restored 3 years ago, and repainted at that time with this perfect blue...With a nice "Peugeot" logo on the left, and the white tires, what a style!! |
Here is another photo from 1972 504 in Quebec that I found while surfing... If the owner reads this page, please send me some info!! |
True story: Laurent has been living in Quebec since july 92. With one of his collegue, they decided to travel across Scandinavia. Luck was round the corner with this beautiful Dangel SW 504 GRD property of the national energy supplier companywho gave it to them. Rare wood inside(acajou), brand new seats, a 5 speed gearbox from a peugeot 505, an extra fan, extra large mirrors from a J5(Peugeot one more time: little truck!) etc. Music inside prevented their ears from the noise, understandable when you know that they have been driving more than 9 000kms across Germany, Sweden, Norway, up to the North Cape where the earth finishes. The pictures were taken from that spot. Laurent and his pal met a few french people up there and because it was rainning, landscaping was off. Our adventurers decided to drink "pastis" with their new friends under the blue wing of this incredible 504. Congratulations! |
Unluckily, the quality of this photo sent by Jerry Bauer
from Alaska isn't so good... But you can still imagine the kind of
road Jerry had to go trhough with his 1976 504 Break Diesel!! Looks
like he's rallying! |
Let Pedro inaugurate this Uruguayian section presenting his 504 1988 Diesel. Pedro tells us that in this part of the world 504 is quite numerous and considered as "the family car". So I hope that all the brothers and siters, cousins and grand-parents of Pedro's are all going to send us some cool pictures of 504 like his. |
Here are some of the remaining 504 in
the US, exported there when Peugeot was trying to get a part of this enormous
market. The succes was not very satisfying, and Peugeot withdrawed from the
US market after having launched the 505, and a few 405.
As far as I'm concerned, I don't like at all the big plastic bumpers that the
US legislation forced Peugeot to place on the 504, but I have to admit that
the blue 504 below (courtesy of his owner S. Racki) is definitly very nice.
Regarding the double headlights, well, I don't hate them, it changes a lot the
look of the car, but why not??

A 504 break which I found on the web, just sold for 1750$ |
I hardly see such beautiful SW 504 in the pictures I am sent. I must admit this one is terrific, perfect shape, nice specifications, cute spot, there is only one word: genuine! Peter from Philadelphia is the happy owner of this 4 speed diesel 504. I am wondering what kind of use you have of it, dear Pete? Its condition seems so good, you certainly can do a lot of thing with it for maximum pleasure. Congratulations. |
