Photos
of 504 in Europe
This is the home country of the 504... and mine too ! There are less and less 504 to be seen in our streets nowadays, but thanks to its incredible longevity and its fantastic qualities, the 504 is still used a lot. And it was sold as a pick up until 1997! Therefore, you won't spend one day without seeing one or more 504 in the french streets (I admit I might have a strange way to look around when I walk : I now have a sort of radar for 504...)
Here is a nice example of the fantastic look of the Dangel 4WD 504! What a beast! This really is a dream car for me! If ever you know somebody selling one for a nice price, email me! More seriously, the Dangels have a famous reputation in off road abilities, this photo gives a good idea about it, doesn't it? |
This is a very wellknown artistic realisation designed by Arman, a famous french artist. It is made of car wrecks and concrete. And you'll notice that in the middle of all these 70's cars, a 504 has been placed here for eternity. |
Here is a great drawing I scanned from a french magazine.
I hope that the great artist, André Reix, won't mind! André
thought of this 504 coupe for racing... in the same spirit as the
Citroën DS 2 doors that was built for rallying in Africa. Looks
good, doesn't it!! |
I noticed this image on the first page of one of my french youth book (that's not recent, I know...) called intitulé "The speed". There was a train, a boat, a plane, a formula 1... and the 504, easily recognisable!!! |

Corsica
OK, I know it'll be hard, but
if you concentrate just one second, you might be able to stop admiring
the gorgious girl and/or the muscled play-boy on that photo, and then
you'll see the 504 behind them! Yep! |
In the very cute village of Porto Vecchio, south of the wonderful Island of Corsica (South to France), I discovered this WONDERFUL 504. It really is like new !! Dated from 1978, the painting is perfect, with tainted glasses, unused interior, etc.. it was like a dream ! I even left a message to its owner (Do you sell it ???), but I didn't get any answer up to now... But gosh ! THAT is a nice 504, trust me! |
I found this photo of a 504 convertible from Austria while surfing on the web. His owner Heinrich saw it here, and emailed me some information about it! It is a 1977 V6 cabriolet. It's the No. 768, out of 970 which have been produced. It has been restaured in 1998 and is looking perfect (except the seats which are worn, says Heinrich...). And Heinrich is also the vice-chairman of the Austrian Peugeot club! Congratulations, and keep up the good job! |

If you have been surfing on this website for quite a while and now discovering "504 in europe" you might have seen Tangi 's name before. He is one of my regular supplier for 504 pictures all around the world. This french pal and 504 addict has moved to Cyprus. Thanks to him I am able to create this new section that was missing. For an opening, I had to select for you his own 504 GL 1977, bought as second hand, less than 124 000 miles and in excellent condition. No complaining and even less when you will notice that Tangi is driving to mountains during his WEs to go skiing!!! Look at the picture, it is perfect and should turns you quite made for jealousy. As far I am concerned: I am! |
First of a serie that make this new section sensible. A rare 504 Durisotti with its right hand steering wheel. The car is quite ill but it is so fine to feel like we were walking in the streets of Nicosia thanks to Tangi again. |
Tangi one more time has spotted this white sedan(apparently a common colour in Cyprus) close to a UN car. Which is helping the most human kind? |
Surprise!!! This last 504 has been shot by Tangi, an example to follow. I think I am going to change my "504.org" copyright into a "Tangi something". What do you recon? |
This is the picture of Vesa Rautakoura's
504, in Finland. As he wrotes me: "the 504 is kind of rare
car back there, and very rare driven by young guy like him (20 years
old)! It's a 504 GLD built in 1977. It has 1.95 litre Indenor diesel
engine." |

This is the very nice 504 cab from Norbert Kansy, inWuppertal. Dated from 1982, this car was first "given as the 40th anniversary birthdays present to the wife of a small Peugeot dealer"! Norbert had to promise to take good care of this car and that he would not use it during winter! Well, it seems that this is a pretty good solution to avoid the rust, isn't it?? And special thanks to Norbert again, for his photo of an incredible double cabin in China!! (see the asian page...) |
Thanks to Norbert Kansy, again,
here is one beautiful 504 pick-up. Produced in 1990, the outside is
in perfect condition, and this blue painting looks great. But the
best comes with the invisible modification that Ralph, his owner,
has made to it : this pick up runs with the engine of a 2.0 TI
504 (106 horsepower), and a 5 speed gearbox, which is placed
below the steering wheel, like any normal pick up!!! Adding to this,
Ralph placed electrical windows. Nice pick-up to travel, isn't it?
And it can carry up to 1120kg of loading!! |
Here are two german 504, during a Peugeot meeting. |

In a big library of german cliparts, sold in 12 Cd-Rom (!), I found this drawing. Although the name of this clipart was just "SationWagoon", I do believe that this is a 504, isn't it ? |

This is a 504 GR sent
to me by Tangi, the webmaster of the excellent site on the
Renault 14 and 18
(see my links!). Tangi, who is a great photo provider for
the 504.org, took this picture in Igoumenitsa, located in
the North-West of Greece, during the great trip he did in
year 2000 from paris to Istanbul in his Renault 18. |
Here is a wonderful photo of a very specific 504 : it's a Dangel (4wd), used by the firemen in the Reunion. With such cars, they can surely reach any point in the Island, no doubt about it! I'd like to thank F Vitteaud, a visitor of my site who sent me this great picture! He also told me the sad part of the story : the Dangels are slowly but surely replaced by some japanese pick ups, and they are sold for peanuts in Madagascar... The only positiove point about this is that I plan to visit Madagascar in November,, so, I will maybe finally own a Dangel?!? What a dream! |
This is a 504 sent by Sangil, a spanish visitor from La Coruña. Nice eyes, hmm? I don't have any information about this one, except that it has a 1.8l engine. I'll try to know some more!! |
