Yep, I know this can seem unreal, but this is true! The 504 is still rallying around the world, continuing her exceptional rally story that I will surely describe in this site one day...

And here are the evidences, thanks to 3 of my visitors around the world. And to start with, here are 2 superb photos sent by Fred (thanks !!), showing a 504 coupé V6 in action during the Ypres Classic Rallye in Belgium, which took place in june 2000. This 504 was ranked 25th out of 60 cars, among which you could find Porsches or Mini Cooper!!! Not bad, huh?

But this was just a start! Indeed, David Mc Bean from Australia (eternal thanks to him!) sent me this magic photo which groups the three 504 engaged in the "London to Sydney Marathon Rally" dedicated to pre-1971 cars, which took place from the 3rd of June till the 4th of July 2000. Two coupés and 1 sedan that are visibly well modified to face this incredible distance!! (And while I'm here, I send a respectful salutation to the drivers, Michael Kolbach, Ernst Harrach, Jean Andreoli, Paul Jarry, John Leppard and Nick Starkey!)

And finally, here is a great shot from Gabriel Roberto, an argentinian 504 fan (muchas gracias Gabriel!!). This is a 504 sedan at maximum speed during an hallllllllucinating race that lasts.....84 hours!!! The french "24 heures du Mans" seem very easy in comparison... Anyway, in my opinion, choosing a 504 for this kind of endless races is very clever choice, since that with a 504, you are already sure to reach the arrival without any mechanical problem!! ;-))
This race took place in february 2000, and the 504 arrived 34th out of 49 cars!
